Operations Research Analyst

An Operations Research Analyst wanted by DIA Associates LLC in Jersey City, New Jersey.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior managers to identify and address key business challenges by integrating advanced analytics tools and machine learning techniques into decision-making processes.
  • Define data requirements; work with clients and external data vendors to gather, validate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity for further modeling.
  • Process and integrate big data from diverse sources to detect trends and patterns using machine learning algorithms in conjunction with statistical analysis.
  • Conduct financial modeling for clients by simulating outcomes and calculating revenue, cost, and profitability, leveraging nowcasting and dynamic programming to quantify the economic impact of various scenarios.
  • Develop and implement tailored optimization models to determine optimal capital allocation, enhance budgeting accuracy, and minimize financial risk.
  • Capture and interpret analysis and findings, translating them into visually compelling presentations and dashboards for clients.
  • Perform rigorous validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy, including systematic evaluation of machine learning models, and recalibrate them as necessary.
  • Design, conduct, and evaluate experimental operational models when conventional models are insufficient.
  • Study and analyze alternative courses of action by applying advanced statistical techniques (e.g. ANOVA, A/B testing) to determine which plan will offer the best outcomes.
  • Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions
Requirements
  • MS in Operations Research
  • Must have at least six (6) months of experience in machine learning
  • Must have knowledge of R, Python, SQL, Spark, machine learning, Tableau, big data, Hadoop, relational database, data visualization, data mining, time series, statistical analysis, ANOVA, optimization, dynamic programming, Monte Carlo simulations, nowcasting, corporate finance
Salary

$105,000
